A young man came to our dental clinic with a complaint of severely mobile lower left back tooth. He found it difficult to eat because of the loose tooth and wanted an immediate fixed replacement.
A digital radiograph revealed that the tooth was a resorbed, over-retained deciduous tooth. There was no permanent tooth beneath it. The mobile tooth was replaced with immediate loading implant with good stability and retention. Immediately a temporary crown of a closely matching color was fixed to the implant that will enhance his smile and help him to bite and chew well. After complete osseointegration of the implant with the surrounding bone, the temporary crown will be replaced with a permanent ceramic prosthesis.
