A digital radiography revealed lesions indicating infection at the apex of both teeth, more severe on the right tooth than the left with external root resorption due to insufficient filling in the apical third of the root.
Maxillofacial Surgeon and Implantologist Dr. S. M. Balaji expertly planned for replacing the infected tooth with implants. The infected upper right central incisor was extracted. Infection in the bone was also completely removed and dental implant was placed with good stability and retention. Adjacent root canal treated tooth with infection was treated with apicectomy.
A digital radiography was taken after 3 weeks showing good bone healing and excellent implant retention.
