A 28-year-old man reported to our dental clinic seeking a fixed replacement for his missing upper front teeth. Few months back he had met with a vehicular accident in which he lost his upper front teeth. Due to the trauma, even a part of the jaw bone was lost. Elsewhere at another dental clinic, he was only given removable denture saying that implants are not possible due to insufficient bone. The dentures were very uncomfortable & slipped off often so he wanted a fixed replacement.
Maxillofacial Surgeon & Implantologist Dr. S.M. Balaji skillfully placed implants in the missing teeth region and simultaneously grafted excess bone from the maxillary tuberosity region and used this graft to strengthen the front region of the upper jaw. After complete osseointegration of the implants, crown prosthesis was fixed. The man was very happy to have a fixed replacement with good color match.
